Air Potato Invasive Plant Management
An air potato and invasive management workshop will be held on July 28, 2015 at the UF/IFAS Pasco County Extension Office in Dade City, Florida from 5:30-7:00 PM. This particular workshop has been designed for home and property owners seeking information on control of the invasive air potato plant. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences will provide air potato beetles as door prizes. Air potato beetles are an exceptionally effective method of control for the air potato plant without harm to other species. Note: We cannot guarantee everyone will receive air potato beetles. In the event more participants register than beetles are available, they will be given away as door prizes selected at random. To register for the workshop, please click on the link. The annual Pasco Master Gardener Plant Sale will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Pasco County Fair Grounds (follow the signs up the hill). Bring your wagon to gather native plants, fruit trees, berry bushes, orchids, roses, bulbs, vines, and so much more! Parking and admission are FREE. Checks and cash only. Service animals are welcome but please leave pets at home. Grandpa's Attic tag sale will have tons of deals, too! Pasco Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions and offer advice.

Rainwater Harvesting Workshop at the Pasco Master Gardener Plant Sale
Florida-Friendly Landscape Program Coordinator, Jim Moll, will lead a rainwater harvesting workshop where participants will learn how to properly setup and maintain a rainbarrel. Participants will assemble their own rainbarrel to for use at home. Rainbarrels are limited to one/household.
